You’re beautiful because you’re You💕 And you’re the ONLY one💕
I’m definitely passing on the next Just For Laughs Festival.
How ’bout you?
Are the Hollywood Children Safe from the ‘Open Secret’ ?
Oh look, it’s Oscar night. Whoop-ti-do. I never cared for awards shows before & I certainly don’t plan on ever watching one again. Some people are taking to the streets to express their disdain in interesting ways:
“Seemingly inspired by Oscar-nominated ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,’ a street artist takes aim at industry predators this week, with 3 huge billboards in LA. They’re covered over with messages attacking Hollywood for purportedly shielding pedophiles.”
Well, ain’t that ballsy! Touche! Way to bring attention to the problem.
Has anything changed in Hollywood since the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal? Have we made any progress? Only Hollywoodians know for sure. For me, as the audience, much has changed. I can’t watch a movie without wondering,“Was that kid molested? Or that one?” Just how many young actors & actresses had to pass the casting couch audition before the actual audition? Some of them? All of them? Thanks a lot Hollywood for ruining movies for me. I’ll get over it. But, the kids – you ruined so many kids lives. Ruined, yes, ruined. Only victims know how much it royally fucks us up.
Are fame & fortune so grand, that morals & principles go out the window? Many who reach the pinnacle of success in the industry have stated it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. We mustn’t allow any more children, blinded by ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ to ever be taken advantage of again. Although the predator moves from victim to victim without a second thought, always hunting for new prey; each victim’s life, from just one incident of abuse, is forever altered. We must work harder at keeping the children safe & keeping people aware. These things mustn’t continue to get swept under the rug.
The only way I know how to do that, short of erecting billboards in California, is to continue to keep them & their families aware. How? For starters, watch & share exceptional documentarian Amy Berg’s eye-opening 2014 documentary, “An Open Secret.” Share it with your friends & family, ask them to share it too.
It’s the movie Hollywood doesn’t want you to see; which is why it’s a must-see; like all her docs. She is truly a gift to the industry, to the world, & to the children. We need more people like her exposing these broken systems if we’re ever going to break free from the vicious cycles in place. See my previous blog for the movie link:
These 10 Hollywood predators need to hang up their clipboards & call it a day, if they haven’t already. If Hollywood wants to retain or I guess, regain some credence, it should ensure these names are no longer seen in the rolling credits of any movie:
Coming soon: Blog in progress about the heart-breaking number of kids in the industry who died before turning 18 from suicide, a drug overdose or under suspicious circumstances. Some even younger. They shouldn’t be forgotten. There are way too many 😦
It’s everywhere – even the places that claim to help.
Every year, pedophilia, sexual abuse, & sex trafficking rates increase.
British police declared the scale of the pedophilia epidemic in the UK is now so severe, it’s no longer possible to arrest all pedophiles. “UK Police Announce There Are So Many Pedophiles, They Will Stop Arresting Them.” West Midlands Police chief constable Dave Thompson said the number of active pedophiles in the UK was ‘horrifying.’
The International Labor Organization estimates 20.9 million human trafficking victims worldwide & 4.5 million people trapped in forced sex trafficking around the globe. At least 100,000 children are prostituted annually in the U.S. adding to the $9.8 billion U.S. sex trafficking industry.’
According to Thorn: 2004 had 450,000 files* vs 2015 with 25 million files* (*number of child sexual abuse files reviewed by NCMEC). 63% of victimized kids Thorn encountered were advertised online. At least 1 in 6 runaways reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children likely became victims of sex trafficking.** Who started NCMEC? Hillary Clinton.
The Dutroux Affair: Belgium’s biggest scandal: “In 1995, two 8 yr old girls were kidnapped, Dutroux (a convicted sex offender), a prime suspect from the start, wasn’t arrested for 14 months. By then 4 of his captives – plus both girls – were dead. Since his arrest, 20 potential witnesses connected with the case died in mysterious circumstances, fueling suspicions of a cover-up reaching the highest levels.” “Belgian paedophile who kidnapped & murdered children planned to abduct as many youngsters as he could & create an ‘underground city’ in an abandoned mineshaft.”
He clearly shows himself as an evil manipulator as he denies any wrong doing:
“You have to understand, John, sometimes there are forces & events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for others, that you can’t do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are & how dedicated you are or how much evidence you have. It’s simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.”
– Former CIA director William Colby giving advice to senator John DeCamp, urging him to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair & to write a book instead (The Franklin Coverup, 2nd edition, foreword). “The Franklin Scandal: A Story about Powerbrokers, Child Abuse & Betrayal.”
This film about America’s own Dutroux affair, in Lincoln, Nebraska in the 80’s was funded by Discovery – who later pulled the film, obviously crumbling under the mounting pressure from the corrupt.
There’s Amber Alert, who hired a woman who tried to kidnap 33 kids from Haiti after the 2010 hurricane. Silsby is the former director of “The New Life Children’s Refuge.” Revealed: Clinton’s Link To Convicted Child Stealer Laura Silsby & Sex Trafficker
Not to mention Europe’s other enabled sicko Jimmy Savile: “Jimmy Savile scandal exposes pedophile network at heart of British establishment.”
There’s OXFAM, in a tweet that isn’t aging well:
The responses echo each other:
The CDC’s director: “CDC Official Charged in Child Molestation & Bestiality.” Bestiality?
We can’t forget the whole Hollywood débâcle, that also helped expose Disney:
Nancy Schaefer, killed shortly after exposing CPS: “Nancy Schaefer: CPS Criminality”
Earlier I posted: “Spartansburg Congratulates New Fire Chief: Convicted Pedophile.”
He raped a 4 year old girl.
Of course, the vatican & the catholic church, the pastors, the (tele)evangelists ..
These religions/churches/charities are not who they say they are. Far from it. Aside from the whole raping your children thing, they are fans of bribery: They’ve paid out $6 billion since the ’50’s to silence the victims of their abuse. Watch these 2 excellent docs to see the extent of the problem – & that’s just two cities in the US:
Can’t forget everybody’s buddy Jeffrey Epstein:
“Only very few reporters are still listening to me, listen to my cry for help. They aren’t allowed to publish or broadcast. They tell me they’re stonewalled by their bosses. The aggression of some of the magazines, newspapers & tv programs is frightening. This is not normal anymore, this is a war in which the victims have become disposable waste.” – Victim-witness Regina Louf (X1) about media’s reaction to the initially open-minded reports about the X1 case, 1998.”
Sound familiar? Not allowed to report? Seeing a pattern? The media, trying to hide the truth? That’s nothing new ..
This MUST stop! Why is this happening more & more? Why isn’t more being done to stop it?
Perhaps because the very people in charge of bringing these people to justice are guilty of the exact same thing? I don’t see any other plausible explanation ..
Every day more & more people are coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, & in some cases even rape; in the workplace, Hollywood, the media, politics & the government. This culture of abuse by people in power, with the money & the means to quiet someone who might open the door to their secret closets & cause all the skeletons to fall out, is a culture that needs to be quashed.
The #metoo campaign revealed that almost everyone has a #metoo story; many shared theirs online, to friends, or publicly – some for the very first time. I’m saddened by the sheer number of stories, but I’m glad they had each other to lean on. It encouraged others to feel safe enough to do the same. And already there has been a power shift in Hollywood – I loved seeing Gal Gadot refuse to sign on for Wonder Woman 2 if Brett Ratner was still part of the project.
Hooray for the ladies. I’m really glad they are getting some Justice & more respect. But please, do not kid yourself into thinking, ‘Problem solved!’ It’s just the tip of the iceberg; there is much more work to be done. There are so many more victims – this isn’t just a women problem; it’s a children problem, a global problem, a humanity problem. There’s a huge problem in society & nobody wants to talk about it; & we’ve only seen a smidgen. Tip of a very big iceberg. Anyone who’s done their own research into this knows what I’m talking about. It’s happening to kids & it’s worse than you think.
That’s why I really thought that Corey Feldman’s petitions & gofundme would be over-flowing with votes & cash by now. Corey has 150,000 Twitter followers, but only about 10,350 people have signed so far. Why so few? If people are so outraged, why aren’t they helping? Do people think they’re powerless to change things? Or do they really just not give a fuck? Where is the empathy? The compassion? More people should be supporting Corey, like they’ve supported others who have spoken out. Corey is a victim. He was a child.
I’ve seen people rally around the women, commend them for coming forward, listen to them, encourage them, support them. But what about the kids? Where is their support? People seemed to be more outraged over an elephant being killed for sport (which is not okay, so, a noble endeavor) than the fact that kids are being molested & raped by the movie industry! I’d expect similar outrage at children getting raped, wouldn’t you? How heavy my heart is, knowing all these women, children, & yes, even men, have been suffering in silence. Well, silence no more. The tides are turning; just faster for some than others. Many victims get support without even having to ask. One is asking & asking & still asking, but why does he even have to?
This is a plea for support for Corey Feldman.
Corey, I see you. You Matter. I love you, I believe you, & I support you.
The tsunami of current allegations prove him right & then some. The difference with Corey is that he’s been trying to tell people for years, & had he been taken seriously at the time, perhaps he would have gotten his Justice before the statute of limitations ran out. The system – flawed beyond belief – is conveniently beneficial for abusers; for victims, not so much. When you’re abused before you hit your teens, it can take years for you to realize & come to terms with what happened – if you do at all. Many can’t deal & self-medicate the pain away – sometimes permanently. And it can take a whole bunch more years to find the strength to come forward.
I think Corey is owed more than a few apologies. Don’t you? Some people online are being really fuckin’ shitty too; it breaks my heart. I know all too well what it’s like to be a victim & never get any Justice. Why does everyone believe all the women at the drop of a hat but ignore or disparage Corey Feldman & his pleas for help? I’ve seen a few who’ve been unnecessarily rude, cruel, or judgemental. People harassing him to ‘drop the names;’ not realizing that he couldn’t without securing a legal team & the finances to defend himself first. Some seemed more concerned with satisfying their curiosity than for his safety. I’d like to invite them to take a good long look in the mirror. Forget not, we are talking about a victim of sexual assault here – a child at the time. People forget that this is Justice for the 11yr old Corey.
This is why it’s so important to sign this petition: Corey’s Law
Corey’s Law is a petition to the White House to extend/abolish the statute of limitations for crimes of a sexual nature on kids under 18.
We cannot stay silent any longer.
There are people, right now, with the information necessary to really get the ball rolling. Stay in the shadows & you’ll never get your power back. Come forward & stand up for yourself, & you take the power they still have over you away. There are way more victims than abusers. They can’t quiet everyone. They’d be idiots to try. You’d be so much safer banding together publicly, than hiding alone in the shadows. I urge other victims to come forward; speak to a friend, call a lawyer, or contact Corey. Several actors have backed Corey’s story, but won’t come forward – they fear for their safety.
So, while the ladies have strength in numbers & are empowered together; the boys, the children, are still waiting for people to care.
In Corey, I see a man who has suffered greatly, I see the pain behind his eyes. I see a man, who after all these years, just wants a little justice & peace. For himself, his wife, his son; & his best friend, Corey Haim; who like countless others (Heather O’Rourke, Jonathan Brandis, Sawyer Sweeten, Brad Renfro, Dana Plato, Lee Thompson Young, Bridgette Andersen, Justin Pierce, Ashleigh Aston Moore, Christopher Pettiet, Mark Priestly, Lucy Gordon, De’Angelo Wilson, Rodney Harvey, & too many etc.’s) died way before their time. But I also see a Hero, a Voice, a Solution. And incredible Integrity.
Thank you Corey.
Corey has stated that he is concerned for his safety – and we absolutely should believe him. There are people who really want to keep their skeletons in their closets. They’ll go to great lengths to do so. If one of the women from the #metoo campaign stated that she feared for her life, would we ignore it? No, no we probably wouldn’t. Twitter would blow up with tweets of outrage. Well, where’s your outrage now?
Aside from exposing the predatory behavior of men in positions of power, another much less glamorous side was also exposed : a shallowness & lack of integrity amongst a community that was so desperate for fame & fortune, they looked the other way, enabling criminal behavior. I’m disgusted by their lack of character. For the amount of money Hollywood actors make for one movie, there are several people who could donate a chunk of change big enough to make a huge difference. Especially since this is all “An Open Secret,” according to, well, everyone.
What if it was your child??
You Matter. You have not been forgotten.
