  1. My friends and I have discussed this many times in the past. When we were kids, our fathers kept guns in the house that were easily accessible by anyone in the family. We knew where he kept the ammo. The difference is that we were taught the dangers of guns from a very young age, and we went hunting with our Father and his friends. We understood what guns were for and they were off limits except while in the presence of our Father and under his supervision. We also attended church as kids and had a very important knowledge of right and wrong. Our Mother and Father also hammered the right and wrong thing into our heads daily. Sadly, this family organization and structure is not as strongly practiced today, and many homes have multiple Fathers or no Fathers. We definitely have a societal breakdown. If we fix that, we fix the gun problem. The lefties thought it would be a really good idea to throw out all of those long held beliefs of family and church, (too restrictive) and just follow the mantra ” if it feels good, do it”. It doesn’t seem to be working real well. If your going to replace a current plan with a new one, you better be damn sure the new one has been proven to be better. If not be ready for a big FAILURE. Thanks for all of your efforts. God Bless
