The Cynical Soliloquist

Lecture

Soliloquy: sschwaprimarystresslil-schwasecondarystresskwimacrz

1the act of talking to oneself

2a poem, discourse, or utterance of a character in a drama that has the form of a monologue or gives the illusion of being a series of unspoken reflections.

“Preach it sista!!” But don’t you go lecture me.

Her silence, intriguing

Broke into sililoquy.

Her words chosen, with delicate care

And fancy flair

Does she dare

The storm inside

Brewing

She is the storm

Her thunder unleashed

Shattering the frequency.

The roaring rumble

All else tumbled

Down to the ground.

Found

There was nothing.

Nothing

She could say

That would sway

Make him stay.

Seen it all before; she’s ready, she’s able.

Stable, falling, the echo of her words

Dripped from her velvet lips

The mojo rising from the earth

To greet her

Meet her

Release her.

They’ve been here before.

Her words, like wishes whispered in the night.

Wisdom found

Gathered by all

She wouldn’t let one fall

When she’s down she can stand tall.

She’s got it all.
